Pruning & Deadwooding

We provide a variety of pruning services tailored to your specific needs and requirements. Our aim is to get the maximum utility and safe useful life expectancy from your tree(s) thus providing increased aesthetic value.  Some of our most common work includes:

  • Removing diseased or storm-damaged branches
  • Thinning the crown or canopy to increase light and air circulation
  • Uplifting the crown or canopy
  • Reducing the height of a tree
  • Removing obstructing lower branches
  • Shaping a tree for balance and design purposes
  • Removing deadwood and dangerous branches
  • Removing branches encroaching on buildings and service wires
  • Trimming branches crossing a property boundary
  • Removing specific branches to improve views
  • Reducing weight of larger limbs to prevent storm damage
  • Reducing fire hazards
  • Road and footpath clearance

Pruning has the potential to cause damage to the health of the tree if it is not carried out in the correct manner. All Coast Tree Services will treat each tree individually in relation to its shape, size, character, condition, site and species to ensure each tree is left in an acceptable, well-balanced and safe condition.

All final cuts will be made at the branch collar, with the branch collar remaining intact. All cuts will be made in accordance with Australian Standards AS4373-2007 (Pruning of Amenity Trees). Any large limbs will be lowered by ropes, slings and mechanical lowering devices to avoid damage to the tree and its surroundings and we will ensure that all sections fall to the ground in a controlled manner to ensure a safe worksite.

Properly managed and maintained trees will:

  • Have a longer safe useful life expectancy
  • Provide an aesthetically pleasing site
  • Increase the value of a property
  • Require less maintenance in the future
  • Improve safety
